Long story with a short question after the periods at the bottom.
Im worried. First grow, all from clones. Expected all to be female, but when I looked closely I saw fat somthins growing above the original little leaves at the nodes. I did some research and found a bunch of misinformation about male plants, and asked a buddy, without showing him, who told me to pinch the preflowers, and if they popped they were definatly males and to yank the males. I Gave a close inspection to all my babies, and they all had a few fat calyx's growing above the first leaves, what I thought were the pistols. So I freaked, thinking I wasted a month growing and cloning a bunch of males. I tried the popping thing to my biggest and healthiest, because they were the biggest preflowers, and proceeded to rip all of the preflowers off in attempt to see if any would pop. None did.
I went into rollitups FAQ and found the preflower section, and realized that the fat catylx are not male preflowers, just female preflowers that hadn't sprouted many pistols yet...........So My question is How can I save my plant after ripping off its preflowers, is this irrelevant, or should I clone what I can and stop nurturing it.
bushy out of focus pic is the plant I raped, other two are a similar plant with the calyx's one with them drawn in because my camera sucks. let me know these are females right??? thanks this site is great.
