Keeping the money in the small guys wallet

Perhaps in the future, some of us smaller cultivators should pull recources, start a chain of small retail shops and run house exclusive strains people wouldnt be able to get anywhere else. Haha..gotta find a way to stay relevant right.
My friends in the business are always after the hottest strains, or the hardest to get cuts. Having what people want, or what is really hard to find will help a little with prices, and with ease of moving. Popular clone only strains come with a built in price increase.

Yah man..social media presence has a huge impact on whats “hot” n whats not. Enough followers and creative campaigning and you can make anything above avg hot shit.

We joke about pooling all our bag seed, and hold an IG auction with catchy new names. Post dank bud shots to tons of social media with the new names, and just see how much they will sell for. Most of the buyers of truly unknown shit with big hype is kids, and they are not going to get the best out of the seeds anyway. We haven't done it. So far.

That small chain of botique stores is a good idea. As of now I am running about 2/3 seeds 1/3 clones looking for new phenos. About half of the seeds I am testing are my own crosses and the other half purchased from retailers. I also have a decent collection of clone onlys, not big enough to brag about. We are also working with a few others and considering getting into the organic soil business and making the worm farm commercial size.

In the long run, soil, pots, ferts and the like is where the money is going to be made. Dope growers routinely pay two prices for all that stuff.
