Half gallon milk jugs work nice for that as well. Just cut the top off and drill some holes in the bottom. A little bit bigger width wise but you get some nice depth for a root zone. Less watering anyways.

You might want to cover the milk container's skin with something so you don't get light bleeding through to the roots.
