Keeping light out

this may be a silly, lame question but I can't quite figure it out....how do you use an inline fan like this and keep light leaks out??

I can't get a freaking image to upload from my fone. It's just a basic inline fan, that would be used bring in fresh air to a grow tent. How do u keep light leaks out when using one of these fans?

^^^. This or you can place an air filter at the end. Just don't have the end pointing up at any light.

take an elbow the same size as your fan, paint the inside of it flat black, and put it on the intake end of your hose. point it away from any light and that should do it, as long as a light isnt shining directly into the elbow, it won't pass any of the ambient light in the room its in
