keeping budd "good"

ive got some sittin in a york mints can and was thinkin it might get to dry or get stale like cigs

any truth to this, will my budd get bad?

if so how could i prevent it?

for small amounts (7 grams or less) I use prescription bottles.. pack it in there and put it in a drawer in a cool room.. works for me, it even smells better after a week

Put it in an airtight container (like a jar) that's opaque, or at least dark (don't want a lot of light to get in). Put it in the fridge.

This will keep your bud for longer than you'd ever need it. Don't put it in the freezer, unless you're planning on making hash. A decent amount of trichomes will break off of the bud due to freezing.

You just wanna try to keep out the three bads: air, moisture, and light. Air will oxydize it, moisture will cause mold, and light will degrade the THC. Keeping it colder just keeps it fresher longer. It will store for months upon months.
