Keef Question

Today was a bad day. I found out that 3 of my plants were males. :cry:

But I am an optimist, so iI would like to make some keef.

Instead of using a screen like from a window, could i use a grinder that has the screen to catch the keef and grind up all my dried male leaves and stems, Then press all the power I got from it?
 
srry man dont know what to tell ya bout that...hopefully someone else can tell ya whats up with that. good idea tho might be kinda tedious to grind it all up tho.
 
yes this will work but it will take much longer than if u just used a bigger screen than a grinder... but even so dont 4get to put your buds in the freezer at least an hour before you grind.. that way the keef hardens and falls off easier
 
its a waste of time males have next to no thc you would have to wait till the plant was mature but if you want to befor i found this Screening, Stainless Steel Wire Mesh and Nylon, Polyester and Polypropylene Fiber Mesh i had a 5gal paint straner streched out and sandwiched between wood like a picture frame with a pice of window glass under thai is first screen then i take my card scrape it all in to my grinder. now it may have taken a couple of times to sift if you got a bunch but i have nothing to do and i enjoy it.

for female plants, they produce pistils which secrete a resin containing (amongst other things) THC. The capitate trichomes also secrete this resin. So to have a male plant which has just shown it's sex, it doesn't make sense to me that it would have much THC at all because of it's 1. gender, and 2. age. It'll have some pollen tho :)

Make sense?
 
dont waste your time unless your time is not valuable... Mine is valuable.. males plants are usless as far as Im concerned unless Im breeding..
 
if you have 2 male plants just showing sex is it even worth extracting honey oil with butane?
 
male plants will yield very very little if any kief as they produce very low amounts of thc.Your better off making aherbal tea and drinking it.You wan a silk scren to make kief anyways if you try
