you can reject it all you want...watch the news....people don't want to be "saved"....half the fucking country supports trump....when 50% of your population is that stupid, you have serious problems. think that's the only bad choice they'll make? and it's not just here. People all over the world make bad choices and support bad leaders, every day. people show that they aren't really worth the effort to save, when they immediately turn around, and jump back into the shit.....

the only thing you said that i don't agree with is that trump knows global warming isn't real.....maybe at some point in the past he knew that, but i think he's the sort of delusional that can alter their own reality...they tell themselves what they want to hear, and believe it....so now, for trump, since it isn't convenient to believe in global warming, it's all a load of shit.....

I do appreciate that your heart is on the side of real progress and equal rights for all. Perhaps it's best if you stay where you are and support those positions in your locale rather than come to Portland to get beat down by one of Gavin's Goons. The strength of our position lies in the fact that we, the people opposing fascists are locals. We elect our leaders, not them and so, they can't win unless Trump sends his troops here. He can't do that unless we start a war and I keep telling you, a war and bloodshed is not our goal. That is the goal of the other side.

This is not a short game, it's a long one. Within ten to fifteen years, the demographics of this nation will look more like California than Idaho and the expectation is that politics will look more like California as well. So, hang in there and stay true to your beliefs. The blue wave of this election was a harbinger of better days. For now, the objective is to prevent the final take-over of our democracy by those who promote a plantation society. Hopelessness and cynicism is what the right are promoting. I reject that and look for ways to make things better because I think there are ways to do so, even in deep red territory. But not without effort and taking a little personal risk.

What struck me is that intelligence services were most likely listening to this murder live while they were recording it, but had to let it happen to counter the Saudi's, OPEC more specifically, from running the oil price sky high as was happening.
