Okay! I've had a year here in California to get used to the climate. My first experimental plant turned out to be one bad runt but still got me high, the next plant was larger but still stressed into an early maturity, and while it's okayish bud it's what I'd classify as mid-grade bud, nothing special.
Now I have some fucking Mendo Purps seeds.
This entire journal will be in 720p HD video, with weekly updates. I will only provide pictures for still-frame references if problems arise, for diagnosis purposes.
http://vimeo.com/2988733 <-------- This week's video, with me planting the rooted seeds and placing them into their box for the first week of germination.
Soil: MG 3-month soil, baked and flushed to eternal shit to remove a huge amount of the nutrients, then mixed with some coarse sand for drainage.
Growth nutrient: Peter's Orchid food 30-10-10. I'll be using this in quarter strength due to the high nitrogen content.
Bloom nutrient: I have three choices, the strongest probably being my 15-30-15 powder, the most balanced being my Liquid Schultz 10-15-10 w/ micronutes, and the crappiest being MG Powder Tomato food, 18-18-21 w/micronutes. I'm leaning towards the 15-30-15 and saving the Schultz for emergency treatments.
I do have a bag of epsom salts handy, and a bottle of household ammonia and a box of baking powder, in case either I have a mag def or a pH problem.
