I've been having serious problems with a plant I've grown from seed. Mostly because I was un prepared for the grow due to moving.

During the transplant I fucked up by putting mg perlite at the bottom of the pot to combat the serious drainage problems I've been having. I forgot to wash it and now have N tox problems. I took a clone from the top and it is now in a bubble cloner.

I'm prob going to scrap the plant with the N tox because it still hasn't recovered even after a hefty flush ( a week ago.) Still has new extra dark leaves plus clawing leaves and has had slow growth for the past 2 weeks. I want to flip it to flower but also want to get a few clones from the new growth if it does turn out to be a girl. The plant is just over a month old. The plant has been too stressed and I just want to sex it and just take clones at this point.

You have N tox from the extremely tiny dose of N in MG perlite? I've clone in strait MG perlite. We're talking 2 - 3 inch cuts with 1 full node on top. Just saying.

Any stress or disease that the plant you are cloning from has will be present in the clone/cutting, and it dramatically reduces genetic quality/vigor... I'd imagine you'll experience/have experienced issues with rooting that cutting, per the supposed toxicity problem (hard to tell with no pictures).... IMHO scrap it and start over to avoid some serious future headaches... hopefully others can provide you their POV before you get too heavily invested in what you have on hand.
On top of all of that you still haven't sexed it?

You are not going to get N toxicity from MG perlite. Don't blame whatever your fuckup is, on a common product with a tiny bit of N.
