Just One Plant

I'm starting to look into just growing one plant in my apartment for personal use. I've looked around for a place that tells you how to do just one plant but I can't seem to find one. If somebody could point me in the right direction or give me some tips that would be awesome.
 
Almost all the info on this site is relevant to growing one plant, except perhpas large hydro systems.
 
i would grow 2 plants, because it sucks to put all of your care and effort into one plant and have it die on you, or worse, turn out male
 
Yeah I was planning on starting out with two plants just to play it safe, one concern i have is the smell. Now I know I won't have to worry about that for a while, but when it does come to flowering etc. should I be worried? Also I've heard to sides of the story of what lights to buy, I'm trying to save money so I'm wondering if I would even need a high wattage bulb?
 
I'm almost done growing one plant, my first grow. It is a feminized lowryder 2 seed. I wish I grew two because of all the efforts going into one, it seems like I should have just grown two. I would have more bud.
 
With one plant the smell is almost non existent. I would know cause I started out with one. But with 2 smell will be there. Funny thig is some of my plants stunk most in veg than in flower for some reason. Ya never know

Obviously you should have grown 2. It's a fuckin lowryder for Christs sake. What you expect, 2 ounces?
 
Here's another question, is lowryder even worth growing? I've heard mixed reviews of it I'm hoping somebody who actually grew it/smoked it can help me here.
 
one plant will smell out yoyur room just fine depending on the strain. so no reason not to go for 2 :D there are plenty of odour control methods and products around.

They are fine to have something ready before your plant is done. I grew an auto ak 47 and a violator kush. The auto was cute and tasted great but is gone and still waiting for the VK. The more light, the more yield, i use a 175 watt MH and when I see someone using a 400-600 watt. it blows my mind how much bigger theirs is and how quick it got there. I got into feminized seeds. I have been planting one at a time in a 2-3 gallon pot and they all have come through fine. That way you do not need to worry about vegging for 2 months to find a male.

i agree with masswhole .if you only want to grow 1 plant at least get feminized seeds it really sucks to put all your energy into growing and find out all was for not when his little balls appear i also would grow at least 2 once again you put all time and energy into growing 1 1 more wont hurt and at the end of your rgow you will say "I wish I would of grown one more" and yes the bigger the light the bigger the yield. I use 1000 mh/hps in a 3x9x6'6" arae and have always got great yields
