Just got searched

I was with my friends.Together as a group, we were 3 males and a female.
People were smoking some reefer about 2 meters away. Before the cop rolls up, they group smoking the reefer leaves. Then Mr.Police comes and says we were
all detained for marijuana. He says he smelled it when he was 5 meters away in his car as he was coming around to stop us. We all get patted down, pockets get checked. In the end, he leaves with none.

My question is, how is it possible to smell marijuana 5 meters away in a popo car? And does he have reasonable suspicion to search my friends and I?
I also asked him if someone had a medical marijuana card, what would have happened? He replies with " They are all fake. They are illegal documents that are made by the pot stores. So it would be a more serious offence then having a gram of weed."

Cops a piece of shit saying all medical cards are fake.

Thats bull bro ,but they can search if they smell weed - its probable cause . Legalize it now !

Contact the ACLU and tell them your civil rights were violated as the cop lied about smelling weed in order to search you. If cities were sued enough times they would stop this practice.
