just received a chiller for my resevoir going to run 68f nute solution questions is do i still need to flush my resevoir and if so how often? and why? plz respond will be appreciated

I clean my res once a week. New water, nuts, and ph. I just want to make sure everything is just right.
I think you could do once every to weeks but I def wouldnt go any longer.

It depends on the size of your reservoir and what your plants are doing with it.

55 gal res plants are eating good been topping off with correct ph/ppm water res feels great no slime .... so why would i flush i still dont understand ....unless its to remove build up in hoses im using ebb and grow system...well thinlk imightve just answered my own question need to flush to remove salt build ups right???????????

because the plants use up the nutrients in the res. You need to replenish them

your right about flushing to remove salts, flush once monthly either with plain phd water or florakleen/clearex....this is highly recommended due to some brands of nutes being saltier than others, for example GH flora is like a salt truck compared to botanicare...these salt build ups can cause PH flux and undesired higher strength solutions. what chiller did you get? i hope you got a chiller for larger tanks than you have, they i believe have BS ads saying they can cool 100gal, i picked up i think a great deal from ebay, polar bears 1/3HP i absolutly love them

ty morrisburg i got the 1 10th hp chiller and yeah it doesnt chill55 gal very well actully it cools 55 gal abou 10 f and 35 gal about 15f that is what i needed but yes false advertisement would lead you to believe that it could chill 90 gal 10f ..........no way thanks for reply i was going to switch from my free technaflora nutes that came with system to gh cause thats what my hydro store stocks ... you think this is bad ? what is price difference from botanicare to gh?
