just finished germinating (light question)

Hi all im just starting on my first grow and I was wondering Just after germination should i keep the lights on 24/7 until my plant sprouts? Ive seen a couple people saying they have done this and it works great but I just wanted to make sure.

You can (I did originally). But it makes sense that you want to turn the lights off for at least a few hours if for no other reason then to let them cool off. That applies to all your electric goodies that you have running. The extra amount of growth compared to say a 20/4 cycle is hardly noticable.

Ive read cannabis does not need a dark period in veg stage, i have tryd both 24/7 & 18/6 and found by far better growth with 24/7 and didnt make F A differnce on my power bill .

actually letting anything electronic "cool off" does damage to the electrical components. the energy needed to dissipate and recharge capacitors (which are used in EVERY electronic device) causes a surge through the units resulting in damage. anything above 18 hours is good for veg.
