I would change it, but do it slowly. They do look very healthy though so I guess you could roll with it till you see a problem.

what are the pros/cons of having it at 6.5

were they are theres about 18 hours of daylight (wen the weathers not shit like it has been) and they get every minute of it theres some buildings and a fence but none of the shadows reach them

as far as nutes iv only used mg all purpose plant food, super thrive, and molasses
i added some potting soil and horse shit to the ground also

the water that im using is well water and is supposed to have lots of minerals in it all i have to test it with is a pool ph test kit i never really bothered with checking the ph before but iv had problems here and there that i couldnt explain

Well the pros are if you keep it in the 6.5-7.0 range in soil then the plants soak up at the nutrients the best they should at optimal paces. On the other hand once you start getting too far out of that range it's the opposite and certain nutrients will get "locked out" and the plant won't soak them up at all. Different strains can have different peak zones.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

You could create problems trying to fix a nonexistent one. I would just keep going as is.

im thinking ill give one of the smaller plants water thats been lowered to 7.5 or 7.3 and watch it closely to see if it makes a difference

i dont have any ph down but i herd you can use lemon juice but i dont know how much to use any ideas

Better is citric acid. Look in the canning section at the grocery store, it's ~$3 for a small bottle. Should be right next to the canning lime.

If you're using well water, I'd guess you're out in the country, so the grocery store should have a canning section. Just look for the Mason or Ball jars. LOL

Good idea to just try it on one plant first.

I use lemon juice, like 5 or 6 drops will take a gallon down by about 2 decimal points or .2 down. Just keep adding a little and measuring the pH as you go. But I would agree with the if it ain't broke don't fix it. That water just might work really good for your soil somehow and messing with it could fuck it up.

well i have two others in pots as well as a whole 2nd grow going on so i have plenty to experiment with

im going to try the lemons on 1 at each spot cause the ph balance is about the same from the city water were the other grow is at

thanks for the feed back ill get back with pics of how there doing

as for now heres a pic of the 2nd grow spot

correction to what I said above. from my test about ten drops from a lemon shaped lemon juice container will drop the ph .2

Id do what he says, the guy sayin if it aint broke dont fix it obviously dunno what his talking about cuz you aint experiencing lock out yet doesnt mean it aint going to happen and running hi or low ph is a fact that nutes will get locked out.

You must be of the "If it ain't broke, give me a minute" crowd.

So, the plants look fine, there are no problems showing and they are in the GROUND, not containers and you would be quick to fix .... what??
