Just baught my 400hps and,,, HEEELLPPPP!!!

Hi , so I just installed my 400watt with a brand new bulb and nothing the bulb goes purple and dosent light at all!!!! Do I have a problem here or am I just supposed to wait several hours before it works?

Buy a new bulb that thing should light up within 15 minutes

the bulb is brand new out the box

I figured that much, it's a dud. You need a working bulb.

Also if you plug it in.. and unplug it. It needs like ten minutes to cool down before you turn it back on.
