just a taste test is all i ask?

would it be a bad idea, or even worth it for me to pick off a lil nug at 5 weeks flowering and let it dry for a few days and chief it? or would this be a waste of time because it would lack potency? basically i want to know if i can smoke and get stoned off of one of my young buds (5 weeks into flower)

Yes but it will be a scatty wired buzz rather than 'stoned'. Also if you start 'robbing' little buds and you havent got a stash you will deplete your final yield significantly, as you will keep doing it LOL!

I think everyone who grows must have taken a tester Nug.... it won't be as good as the finished product but if you really can't resist it's not going to do any harm.

Sure go for it. Just dont make it a habit and pick it clean. Not a thing wrong at all giving it a little taste test to see what you got on the way. Just dont have high expectations. I usually give mine a test around the 4-5 week mark myself. I usually pick from the middle of the plant.

Show me a pic, if it has trics its normally ok to quick dry. (I use a pilotlight lit oven thats off, stays like 110f .

Two caveats, firstly the bud will lack potency, it will normally still get you high but its going to lack the serious punch of mature bud, my first reaction on smoking some slow dried buds was an amazment at the taste and smoothness over the same buds quick dried.

The second thing is you dont want to pick a nug that will be twice as big as the one your gonna "sample". Wait till harvest. It sucks not having weed but its more of a now or later decision, unless your growing enough to last

Dont worry, theres nothing wrong with the weed you need to check by tasting and dude...I totally know what your going through but wait the time.

I dont think ive ever harvested with out testing a few buds early, it will not be that dank gear you are lookin but its a smoke .

i have a regular stash im just really excited the last few days a lot of resin has been showing and i just wanna smoke my own for the first time ( this is my first grow; hydro) i cant show pics because my cam is messed up but basically they are almost all white but some have very few brown strands.

Sounds almost done, I would wait, especially if you have your own stash. When you finally eat steak its THAT MUCH BETTER
