Just a few quick questions before my first grow.

Hey all,

My first grow is just about to be under way, but I have a few quick questions I would like to finalize before jumping in. I am growing "Afghani Kush Ryder" (http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.u...-ryder-autoflowering-feminized/prod_1112.html).

- I will be planting directly into a 4 gallon container immediately following germination. The tutorial for growing lowryders says to "treat as if it were a seedling" for the first 2 weeks. What exactly does this mean? <-------- ??

- I am growing in a 3'x2'x2' grow cabinet, with 3' being the height of the box. I have 12 CFL's - how many should I use? (One single plant is being grown at a time)

- I have 2 CPU fans running as intake/outtake fans - I have a third spare one laying around - would it be of any use to me?

- I have only 1 seed per strain I ordered, because it was my first time ordering from The Attitude. What is the most efficient method of germination for a single marijuana seed?

- I only have access to stores such as The Home Depot, and just a few mom & pop gardening stores - what would be the best nutrients to use without sacrificing the taste of my flowers? (I heard MG effects taste big time)

I wouldnt germ and go to a 4 gal pot.. use a party cup to get some roots going for the first week or two. Treat as a seedling I would assume means no nutes One cfl is fine till it gets growing. Lots of opinions on best germ methods.. I'd just plant the seed in the soil in the party cup and put it in a humidity dome and thats that.

Prolly means keep your humidity super high (80%) keep the light a good distance away, keep them alittle warmer than usual (78-80F)using a heating pad or electric blanket under them, and go 1/2 or 1/4 strength on nutes. I'm sort of guessing, but thiose are things I do with seedlings.

Thank you fellas. Might sound like a bit of a newb-ish question, but hey thats exactly what I am - will any veg/bloom nute from Home Depot get the job done? Also, I am having a hard time coming across a tute for a single plant - how much should I be watering/feeding her?


Last question - once I plant from germination - do I water right away once its in the soil?

you are growing auto-flowers like me. check out my grows journals to date and you will hpefully learn a lot from that... check out my lowryder #2 and pakistan ryder grow journal. Also got one ging on doggies nust white widw if your interested. I have just started so this will be good for you to follow from start to finish. I hope this helps you!
