Hey there, this is for my first grow.
I'm using a 47-5/8"W x 20"D x 72"T Two door particleboard cabinet with one shelf set at 12" from the top and the rest open - can add shelves, etc... (see below).
I'm wanting to go with some higher-power CFL - I.E. 1 or 2 bulbs consuming 100ish watts each - producing somewhere in the neighborhood of the equiv. of 500-600 HID watts - I know this isn't ideal, however this will be: A.My first grow. B.Inside cabinet in a rather small apt. so not really wanting to have a significant spike in my electrical consumption. On to the rest - this will be a soil grow with two varieties and some cloning in a separate cabinet.
So here are my questions.....
1. How much ventilation will I need to maintain O2 & CO2 levels, since heat buildup isn't nearly the issues it would be with H.I.D. lighting.
2.What type of filter/fan setup would work well without a noticeable sound level and keep the smell down?
3. Seeds - I KNOW I KNOW - however, the information available is so scattered in regards to what I'm really looking for. A.relatively low odor (am taking precautions to keep odor down: new weatherstripping around the doors, completely sealing off one door that doesn't get used and will actually be blocked by the growbox and always some ONA. B.nice social/functional high C.ability to grow in a configuration within this cabinet where I can have 4 vegging and 4 flowering at the same time without the plant suffering quality loss due to stunting the growth too much. D. MUST BE FEMENINIZED SEED!
ANY good advise would be UNBELIEVABLY APPRECIATED!
Right now the real sticking point for me are the seeds; I can put this growbox together in less than 24 hrs, but would like to have the seeds on order and THEN get the environment together so I can get started relatively soon after the beans arrive.
