Just a couple of newbie questions

hi there fellow tokers/growers

Just wanted to ask a couple of questions,

ive just recently started to grow again after getting fed up with having to buy £20 deals all the time

Ive not grown anything for 10 years. so ive just gone the way i used too grow. (Using soil )

Ive bought some G13xHaze and started to grow about 6 weeks ago my plants are about 18 inches high and very bushy from what i know they looking very healthy

(1) I just wanted to know how long should i grow before i go into Flower? seeing some pics on here ive noticed really big plants and massive Buds lol
(when i was growing before i would flower really quick as friends would say that was best but only end up with probably an ounce a plant)

(2) How much food should i give. i go by what it says on the bottle 50ml to 5L of water. the guy at hydro hobby advised me not to go over that but i know friends way exceeding this and using the expression give what the plants asks for <<< i cant talk to plants and get an answer lol... yeah that newbie
( i ask this as i can remember when growing before when half way tru flowering my plants the leaves would be mostly yellow, apparently from lack of feed?)


what im using:

Secret Jardin grow tent 4ft by 8ft i think
600watt Grow light
Canna Professional soil
Canna Terra Vega feed
Canna Terra Flores feed

hi man,you should flower when the plants are half the size of the flower room height as most plants double in size some even triple in size when flowered.as for nutes if your plants can handle what your giving them then push them and study the plants reaction like leaf tips yellowing/burning and go with that.your plants yellowing in your past grows was prob lack of N in your feeding so try and use an N rich nute up until the second or third week of flower this should see u right.but keep in mind late in flower leaves will naturally yellow as the plant uses the goods that are stored in those leafs.hope this helps a little and good luck mate!!

Keep giving N thru the flowering stage will help with the yellowing. Some of those huge buds are on long vegged plants or strain dependant. Products like Purplemaxx or Snowstorm makes the buds stack. Myself I don't exceed max doses..burn is a bitch. Our grow store guy loves that nute line you have.

yip my bad n is good thru flower but prob about half of what you give in veg!!!! they say that canna are the best on the market just now(plz dont nail my arse to the wall for that) only repeating what my hydro guy said!

PS is it ok to use soil or should i start to move into the coco stuff another line that my hydro guy said

If one can be patient, vegging them for 2 months (except autos of course) will give you a plant capable of producing far more bud than these "I vegged her for 2 weeks and put 'er into 12/12" bunch will ever get.

Air, containers and lights - go big to grow big. You can hardly go too big on these.

Water, nutrients - go small or lose it all.

Yeah i think the hydro guy seen me coming i left the shop with 3 different sizes of containers 3 of each >.<
After reading tru posts on this site, ive read people put them in the biggest pot and leave them in just the one pot till the end
ive had to gradually build up to the biggest pot, which ill be going into the biggest one soon. just wish i logged on to here a lot sooner :[
