jungle

hi, first real real room, 3 blueberries and 3 blackberries surrounding a 400w CMH and a 600w HPS in a vertical diy cooltube. they vegged for like ten weeks which i know is ridiculous but i just couldn't afford my hps ballast until recently. i know. also they're way taller than the blackberries because i was screwing around with LED panels when they were babies and the lights were totally different even though they were the same model.. stretching.
anyway they've been flowering for about ten days, they're healthy, they could use some nutrients because i haven't given them anything besides some oregonism myco shit. they're in really nice dirt and smartpots. also i have a history of overwatering so i tend to let them droop slightly before i water.

my problem is like.. there's a fucking jungle in my closet. i know that next time i'm only going 4 plants, but right now i'm not sure what to do. i topped the blueberries, but they're still giant, and if they're gonna practically double in size, there's absolutely not enough room in there. they're already in each other's airspace. should i trim hella or what? just see if i can get two of them out?

i would love to take two of them out for mothers and if i could i wouldn't even be posting this, but i do not have anywhere to put them, period.


a 4'x4'x8' closet. i want to raise the light up but haven't thought of a way to hang it yet, the ceiling is.. weird.

I hear mixed reviews about trimming in general. I try to minimize how much I trim as much as possible, because it can stunt growth. I know some people who strip their branches bare anything under the top bud zone. You have alot of node spacing, seems like you had somestretch that probably worked out for you with the long veg. Sometimes leaves can get really get out of control. 10 weeks is a pretty long veg, but its a minimum for the type of strains I do. The bushiness you are being forced to deal with because of your delayed veg is actually less than what I normally have with my big indicas. If you start running out of room to go up, you can work horizontal a bit. I think you should just do your best to tie up as much as you can, it seems like there is still alot of room for light to get through. Do you best to keep as much healthy growth on their as possible, and up the airflow to avoid moldiness in the leaf masses below your canopy. If you feel like you just want to break down and give it a good trim, I like to advice of getting it all over with in 1 day, dealing with the shock for a day or so, and letting your lady get back to work.
