John Dingell has a few ideas about how to fix American politics

His kid was taken care of by somebody who cares. His parents are family. Maybe he has relatives? Imagine what it would be like to sit at the holiday dinner table with tty.
Care to come for a visit?

If not, then maybe you should stick to your usual line of vacuous opinion here.

my take on this -- and I'm not saying 100% better -- but my take is that things are better today than they were 40 years ago. Also we are moving in the right direction, which is to the left.
Unbelievable.

So- are you a flat earther too?

Blanket statements presented without a shed of support that flatly contradict all the available evidence.

Your stupid is showing.

The 'monkeys' are getting desperate and hungry; income and wealth polarization is the best predictor of authoritarianism throughout history.

It can happen here and it's in the process of doing so.

The clown contingent here loves to bash on people like Noam Chomsky and Chris Hedges, but these individuals and those like them explain the root causes behind the current political, social and economic problems Americans face far better than anything found in the mass media.

Chris Hedges is scary to @Fogdog exactly because Chris has got it right- and because he is highly educated, extraordinarily experienced in the topics he discusses and his insights are backed up with facts and are thus irrefutable.

Truthdig.com isn't perfect; no news outlet is. It's time to start thinking critically and cast your net for information wider than the clown contingent here is comfortable with.
Chris Hedges is OK. I don't worship him like tty does but I've read some of his stuff and he's certainly opinionated and sometimes not wrong.

Truthdig is a propaganda website that supports the right wing agenda. Anything that comes from that site is suspect.

You wouldn't want to trust me!! He just bashed everyone and their opinions there as much as he does on here. The main reason that his family has nothing to do with him

You cant argue with someone that knows everything and has all the answers for you will always be more stupid and dumb. And of course nothing you say will ever be right

Dont u know that foxdog? lmao

Another personal attack from the intectually and ethically bankrupt.

Predictable.

If you had any ideas you'd discuss them.
Lol, look back a few posts at your response. You called me a moron after misquoting me.

At least I held out some positive hope that the product of your loins can avoid your ignorant, narcissistic and, apparently, abusive traits.

Good god. You accuse others of having empty and insulting logic. Just read your post! Oh nevermind, I will let the pigeon finish his chess game. In your mind, and your mind alone, Tty, you are totally winning.

So did Schuylaar help you clean up your relationship mess?
Oh look- yet another post totally bereft of intelligent thought.

Pretty typical, sadly.

Your response is totally guilty of you what you are accusing him of.

Par for the course with you.

And a sudden and complete contradiction.

The idea of thinking critically no matter where you get your information is too tough for you?

Just vote for Trump and be done with it. He won't make you think.

What? Organizing them to agree with his stupid and ignorant thoughts and ideas? Or to put them into those cages of his maybe!!! That would be about it for organizing from such an egotistical and ignorant fool

I reject your hopeless cynicism.

Things are better today than they were 40 years ago. In some ways, not all.

There is bad:
I don't deny that the economic condition of the 90% stagnated while the 10% have accumulated all the economic gains. Also economic conditions of the lower 30% have gotten awful.

On the plus side, we have made social progress. The ADA, progress towards increased diversity in the workforce, education methods and attitudes have improved. We no longer accept the "my country right or wrong" belief. The implementation of the Affordable Care Act was a leap forward towards universal access to healthcare. It's not a big deal to have black and women political leaders. These are important changes that set the stage for a more progressive society. It can't happen the other way -- economic improvements without social improvements mean large groups of our society get left behind.

If you want to disregard social progress because we've lost ground economically, I counter that with the idea that the 10% has used racism and misogyny to take over our government. Social progress is economic progress. We are making progress in an important area and everybody will benefit over the next 10-20 years.

But not next year.

So, I reject your hopeless cynicism.

I don't know you and I don't know where "there" is.

It is true that tty is a hopeless cynic and replying to him is a waste of time.

Sometimes I waste my time. I'm here to learn what other people are thinking and my own entertainment.

Why are you here?

so i'm filling in the blanks with the tty/sky story and am intrigued:

he flew her to CO for presumed "relations", she stayed for a bit, sent him on an errand or 2 and then "borrowed" a bunch of his weed to fly back to FL with.

that close?
