there are alternatives to John Deere. i'd love to see farmers all band together and boycott John Deere for a year or two, start giving Allis-Chalmers, Kubota, New Holland, Mccormick....some of that money, as long as they agree to give you full access to the programming and parts that Deere is denying them

I love my kubota it’s at least all one company that builds it. John Deere only produces their own engines for bigger tractors and they try to get out of repairs every turn. The smaller John Deere’s all use yanmar engines and drivetrains. Parts are there for the yanmar stuff but good luck getting them to pay under warranty.

Scott's Bayer Monsanto.. n the likes
Monsanto and Scott's link:
  • 1998 - Scotts entered into a collaboration with the Monsanto Company to apply biotechnology products to the turfgrass and ornamental plants business. Under the agreement, Scotts and Monsanto agreed to share technologies, including Monsanto's extensive genetic library of plant traits and Scotts' proprietary gene gun technology to produce transgenic turfgrasses and ornamental plants.
Bayer owns literally almost everything across the spectrum of human, animal, and plant products, 10 pages of companies. But not Scott's.

This is what Scott's owns. Boycotting them all?

Yup Kabota, winner winner chicken dinner. 12 years old and oil changes and a battery :). Cub cadet mower, two years old, new motor, rear seals fucked and leaking gear oil, oh and it’s sealed so no adding back ........ giant pile of yellow shit :(. Pretty much it’s all shit now. 10 year old Chev, off to the wrecker, frame rotted, well that could be the ocean of salt on our roads. Very sad to see that about deer though, I held them to a high standard :(.
