here is how i do it.

I germinated my seed using the paper towel method.

I mixed 2 parts soil, 1 part perlite, 1 part vermiculite in a bucket. i slowly added small amounts of water while mixing so it would be nice and moist. i then put the medium in a 4" pot and was careful not to pack it down too much. i used my finger to make a small hole(about a half inch deep) in the center of the pot for the seed. i then dropped the seed in that hole and gently covered it up. i then gave a good watering, waited 30 mins then drained the water tray. i then covered the pot with some suranwrap and put it in a warm place. as soon as i see the sprout break the surface i will move her under the light.

I am going to make a veg box 12"L x 12"W ID. and about 20" or so in height. i figure 12" x 12" 1sq.ft. should do the trick i figure this is a good size because i can fit nine 4" pots in there or four 6" pots. I'll probably use 4 27w 6500K cfl's for now.

looks good man mines gonna be pretty much the same except im makin mine 2 ft long which is perfect for next to a desk or something. That way u could get a 24" cfl and veg twice the plants just in case if some turn out to be males.

ya males suck. lol. i have taken this into consideration already. i plan to flower 4 plants at a time so if i veg 9 of them i should end up with 4 females hopefully.

paper towel looks too wet IMO... wring half of that paper towel out one good time, and it'll be just about perfect.

The seed has already cracked. it's done. i already planted it.

O..ok!
your soil mix looks great! I cant wait for it to break soil! what strain are U growing?

thanx i thought the soil mixture looked not to bad myself. Its an unknown strain. it came from a sack of very tasty weed. it was no sensimilla thats fo sure.

Well heres a list of some of my supplies.

potting soil(secret)
vermiculite
perlite
moisture wand
ph kit
ph up(1L GroTek)
ph down(1L GroTek) - 1mL of this stuff into 1 gallon of water makes my ph perfect 6.6
nutrients(secret)
some 1mL syringes
some 30mL syringes
liquid root stimulator(wilson) -this is for later on when i do some cloning.
thermometer
hygrometer
pots

I have a beautiful little sprout growing now. she just poked through the soil the other day. i still have not added any water since the day i planted seed and the soil is still moist and shes doing great!

i forgot to add: i also made a simple temporary veg cabinet that works just dandy.
