Jar not airtight?

Hello folks. I recently got a few of these style glass jars. I like them so much more than the half gallon ball Mason jars because my buds fit more comfortably in them. But I dont think they are as air tight as ball mason jars. Anyone have any input. Thanks

thanks for the reassurance. i figured it would probably be ok since some growers use totes and ziplocks etc. ..but the odor does escape from the jar more than the ball screw top mason jars. i'll def keep an eye on the seals
 
Thanks everyone for you input. Very helpful. I dont have an empty one but that would have been a good idea madvillian. I too like the ball mason jars the most,...its just that some of the larger buds dont fit well in there. If they were wider, that would be cool. I assume they sell rubber rings separately like the sell ball lids separately.
 
I use screw on lid 1/2 gal wide mouth Mason. I was amazed that the weight of the jars is within a few grams of each other. Nice for seeing weights during use. I wonder if those are close? Nice job. It reminds me of gg4. I have a jar now of gg4 that looks white.

Thanks man. This is some white skunk. Name fits well ha. You're lucky you got some gg4. I've been wanting to get my hands on a cut so bad. That shit is a good smoke!

Partially why I was skeptical was because they weren't very expensive. They were like 7 bucks each at walmart. But they had a similar style at my hydro shop for like 3 times the price. They were probably made out of thicker glass, but they didnt seem to seal as tightly. So idk, I'll just keep an eye on it.

Actually I have a tangerine x copper chem cross I prefer over the gg4. The gg4 makes great rosin. The tangerine is not as oily but tastier and a sativa high. I like the speedy get my old butt in gear stuff. That may be a bit speedy.

Sativa highs are great. So is rosin. Send that stuff my way. I dont have either
