On that date some Republican members of Congress, led by Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, followed/supported by Mo Brooks from Alabama/Matt Gaetz from Florida/Jim Jordan from Ohio and the Senator newly elected from Alabama, Tommy Tuberville, just too name a few, have signed onto this Madness, & seriously plan to circumvent the will of the majority & essentially stage a coup and force/demand that VP Mike Pence override the Electorial College votes, declare them null/without merit and anoint/appoint/install Trump again as the POTUS.
Holy shit/fuck/god damn it all
This is where we are now, where/when the Virus is raging & the majority of those dumb as fuck Republicans insist/think that this election was fraudulent?
Sorry to say, but I really, really think after much consternation/contemplation that the USA is irrevocably fucked.
Too much division/iniquity/anger/fear/pain.
That is the norm today in America & a viable/healthy Society can not/will not/could not sustain itself in that envoirment
Fucking fact, as it has been proven to be true time & time again throughout History
Anyway, I liked that bomber in Nashville's musical taste
Can you imagine sitting on a bomb & this is the last thing you hear?
Oh, my fucking God :)

Meh, really how is it any different than what we expected it to become with Trump trolling everything and anything the entire time.

I just always try to think about the fact that Comey was looking down this very same barrel in 2016, same Roger Stone bullshit 'stop the vote', same Russian/Saudi/Netenyahu dictator fuckery on Trump's behalf, but with a Republican controlled house and senate.

Obama trusted the American people, and he was proven correct to place his faith in them.

If Biden starts to think that there is something worth saying about it to the American people, I decided to not worry.

If Trump didn't suck at everything and have only idiots surrounding him, I would be more worried.

I was wondering what that bar where the Proud Boys assembled to get drunk and then go out rioting after dark was all about.

Hotel Harrington and the bar, Harry's. It's my guess that somebody with deep pockets was picking up the tabs. Those shits, the Proud Boys, they are mostly dirt-poor scrubs. The hotel's ownership is in transition after the recent owner died and management has taken a "nothing I can do about it" attitude. The bar is leased from the hotel and everybody was just sort of looking the other way while they made bank from the influx of "guests". It wouldn't be the first time that a benefactor packed the streets with paid-for thugs who flew in from all around the country. It's been happening in Portland with regularity.

So now, someone has informed management that they can be held liable and plans have been disrupted. Good move.

I was shocked when I saw how many voted for Trump. I had to re-think the situation and adjust my perception of what kind of country I live in. I had to point at myself on Nov 4 and say, naive.
how many really voted for trump though? maybe more so a vote for a Republican that happened to be trump?

where the hell are the other 120 million people here that don't vote is a better ?. and how to we make voting more like Uruguay where 90%+ vote.

74 or 75 million people voted for Trump. Republicans down ticket did better than expected given that result. I was shocked to see those results. I don't know how else to interpret those results other than this country is a lot more weird than I expected and not in a good way. I mean, inject bleach? Use strong arm tactics on the Ukranian PM by witholding funds slated to protect US national security to extort personal favors? Puts kids in cages while sending parents to locations unknown?

I simply cannot understand why anybody voted for Trump, which makes 74 or 75 million that are alien to me.

I'm OK with only people who care to vote, voting. Its a shame that so many aren't voting. Makes me think that things are all that bad because 120 million people can't find the time or energy to do it. Some were prevented through voter suppression laws but not that many.
