Jalapeno chile plant reservoir size and light cycles...

I'd like to add a jalapeno chile plant to my growspace, but I'm short on room and want to use the smallest reservoir size I can - anyone know if I can get away with a 3-gallon reservoir using simple DWC?

Also, will chile plants do ok at 12/12 lighting (is it enough)?

Been looking around online for information on chile plants and DWC but almost all hydroponics sites of any substance are centered around cannabis - so I thought I'd just ask here and see if anyone else has tried growing chiles/peppers. :weed:

I grow Jalapeno, and Chili plants in DWC - I put 4 plants in a 8 gallon tote.
Mine grow in front of a South facing window, and I give them extra light from a T12 fluorescent light when it stays cloudy for a while.

hey, i grow f1 super hot, romano and scotch bonnets, they are in my flowering room under h.i.d with the skunk, they dont seem to mind 12 hours of light! just try it and you will see, after all its only a plant! good luck

Thanks for that info - a 3 gallon bucket should work for a single plant then. I guess I'll see what happens with it being in the periphery of a 600w on a 12/12 schedule.

Oh and do you guys know how much they need nutrient-wise (just generally)? Like are they heavy feeders or tend to do better with light amounts of nutrients?

A 3 gallon rez will be just fine. I have a jalapeno plant in a 5 gal rez. Im leaving mine under 2' T5's with 24 hours of light. Im still on my 2nd week from seed. I can upload pics if you want.
