Jack herer newbie led grow

Hey guys, this is my very first grow and i just wanted to know what everyone thought, im growing two jack herer's under a 400 true watt led panel i made and a 300 watt led i bought from amazon. I used some aluminum rectangle dryer duct for my led heatsink and connected a high power duct blower to it to keep the led's from burning up. The only problem i seem to be having is the fact i have been veging for more than 2 months and my babies are just so small, thick and bushy

They are 14 inches tall and a little more than 9 inches across. Their stalks are 1 inch thick which i feel is fairly unusual but i really have no clue, they show no signs of nute deficiencies and they arent stretching for light. I transplanted them to a bigger pot 2 or 3 weeks ago and i was quite amazed too see the roots had completely bound in their last container which was a .5 gallon pot. Im about to switch them to flower soon, do you think they will stretch much during flower?

I'm not familiar with that strain, but having vegged for over 2 months, be prepared. I'm going into week 3 of flowering and my ladies are still stretching and I vegged close to 2 months. Good luck.

@Corvette kidd My sativa dominant strains have all easily passed a foot, foot and a half, and my indicas are closer to 10"-11". I eased my ladies into their current light cycle by having the lights go off 30min early each day the week before switching. I was hoping that would help keep some of the stretch at bay. I'm thinking by week 4 they'll be about another foot, foot and a half and then hopefully it'll be minimal until harvest.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Should my plants be smelling like mega dank already? The way they are making my house smell, you would think that they are already about to be harvested. They are also showing signs of pre flower even though they get 22 hours of light and 2 of darkness

Give them more dark time. I wouldn't veg another day man. Hell with the stretch, it's not in genes of a indica dominant anyway. Get her into bloom now, you won't regret it.

Ok ill start tonight, should i go straight to 12-12? Or should i ease them into flower since they have had 22-2 their whole life? Im also going to build another led panel this week, it will have deep red/uv diodes mixed with warm white and maybe some royal blue. Ill keep everyone posted on the progress forsure and i really apreciate the info everyone has given.

Go straight into 12/12, don't ease into anything. Cut out the high nitrogen (1st number) go to high potash (middle number) and lower the potassium ( last number) I use budswel organic. .01-.10-.01 whatever you use ...Don't Overfeed Her!...less is more and leave it alone. Two best pieces of advice I received here

Mine are also growing short and bushy under LED. I moved the plants away from the light for about a week now and already notice they are stretching a lot more.

How far ? I try to keep my 400 hps no more than 12" and the 600 no more than 16". I supplement a 300 watt 9 band led on the side. This AK 47 is getting it from all sides. A 600 above it, a 600 on one side and the LED on the other

I only have a 300watt 9 band. She was half a foot away from the LED's her whole life, but she only grew to about a foot high when starting to show her sex. I moved her about another foot away and she grew half a foot the past 8 days. Here's a pic from a few days ago.

Yours looks taller then mine :P
Edit: I'm also using autoflowers

More than likely that was the issue. When you go to 12/12 if you're not there yet, I'd try a foot from the top and see how she does. Be flexible and don't hesitate to move it closer or further away depending on what you're seeing. It you can supplement some 2700k cfl's on the sides that would be great

OP this advice is pretty good, but imo don't cut the N out so fast! And have a higher K for early flowering stage

Hey guys i think one of my babies is getting nute burn. I flipped them to 12-12 yesterday, and now today all the leaves have burnt tips
