Can i use these to get rid of run off thanks, is that there purpose....

I will have my trays raised off the floor with 9 plants on each tray, i would like to hook the 2 trays up to a brain bucket where i could pump the water out when it gets so high,

yeah you could, but all you really need is a pump and a float valve
 
Thanks yes the trays are raised about 1ft off the floor and was gona set a drain to each tray leading into that pump
My recollection is it takes about eight inches above floor so you should be good
Depending on needs I think the little giant also makes a little larger one too
 
I have found this one on ebay, for £30 if i get this working al be to set up my auto feed

How does the condensate pump work?
would my run off drain to the condensate pump, then the pump switch one and be drained from a open hose outside near drain?

Also what you think about this, is this for a timer? They float valve with automatic pump seems better

You don’t want a twelve volt pump
The one I showed you is automatic when the base reaches float level
It has some pressure so securing the line is important but you can pump up in the air to 15 feet
