whats meant to be so good about a cmh ?? is it something new, sorry for being such a dumb arse
Yah the cmh or ceramic metal halides are suppose to run slightly cooler than hps and have a better spectrum, provides a good bit of uv, has some of the highest cri measurements there are several others advantages but I’m running the de 630 4K and here’s the spectrum for it. I run a lot of leds I test a lot of gear it’s the whole reason for this room if it’s good and worth it I make the change. I always try to get better quality for me and my patience because like me they’re veterans.

Best thing is I got the ballast and hood that can do 630 cmh or 1000 watt de cmh so that’s a plus.
Just curious. Can I run a 1000w de cmh in what I have now?
I have a de hood and a 1000w dimmable digital ballast. Sorry, I didn't google shit.

No you would need a cmh ballast. Regular digital ballast are high frequency. Cmh are low frequency square wave ballast.

Yah I actually swapped that de out for two nanolux 315's with hortilux bulbs. The de was too much for the height I have in that room.
Yeah height problems suck I’m trying to decide what I’m going to use to flower. I’m using t5s for veg. I was wanting to go with like $100 led to start out because I’m on a tight budget but I’m not sure I’ve got enough room.

In my rooms I have a total of 7.5 ft which after lights and plants doesn't leave much room. I'm liking cmh though. Sunplix has a sale on their 315's I know.
