its colder than expected, BUT LOOKIE!!!

this is an experiment. i planted a seed nov 30th. usually it stays warm here, but we got hit with a cold spell, and at night its been getting around 40 degrees. during the day its 75-80, but whatever. so i figured my shit would never survive, but look what i found today.

SOIL = mix of ground dirt and fireplace ash

no nutes, just going to water, ground is staying very moist, i only had to water when i planted. so yeah. this little leaf is the small as hell. its about 1/4 the size of a dime. but hey, gotta start somewhere.

im seriously doubting this things future existence, but its a fun experiment.

looked at it closer, its two leaves. one was covered in dirt, i got better pics, and moistened the soil a bit. check it.

the black thing is for reference, its the tip of my shoe lace, hahahahha, so tiny

hey i jus did the same thing the other night. started in a pellet then i realized i dont have room for antoher inside, so i tossed it outside in a pot, its about 6 inches tall now, some stretching. Im in n. fla and the temps are gettin down to the mid 40's at night and in the last three days high temps have reached between 65-80(according to the digi. thermo i have on my porch). interested to know waht part of the country ur in or what the temps are like, maybe we can compare? haha

yeah this is my first grow. im not considering it my first grow though, cuz its embarrassing, lol. its a learning experiment.

mine would probably be taller, but i had some complications. im right next to mexico. lows are getting around 40-50, highs from 70-80. past couple days it got as low as 31.

but im excited.

ill toss a pic up of mine in a couple days, let it get a lil bigger. Its got like a natural lst thing goin the last couple of days. hopefully itll straighten itself out. I dont think its too tallto support itself, i thinks its jus the weather. how tall are yours now?

i checked earlier today, it was weird. i had more growth, but curved down and was growing toward the ground. like an upside down "U"

i watered the soil around it because it was slightly dry. so hopefully it didnt die. ill check again tomorrow and see if there is any progress. i have to work all day tomorrow, so i wont be able to check it till its dark out anyway, we will see.

i conquer with your findings, mine's more of a ride side up "U" however. they're lil warriors. i just wanna see how late into winter it can go. its lookin pretty good so far haha.

i checked my little devil today, and she is about an inch tall, and has another set of leaves. actual marijuana leaves, not those crappy starter leaves. ill take some pics in the morning when i have some sunlight.

oh, and she is straight up now, looking healthy.

lets just hope its a she, cross your fingers.

finally got some new pics. she is about an inch tall right now. it rained all night last night and some this morning. and there has been shit for sunlight the past two days. so not much progress. but please comment.

if anyone has suggestions, let me hear them.

Dont let that water build up in the middle of leaves, i used to have two plants, one got water in the middle at about that age, stunted growth for like a week before finaly split into two new stems, but it didnt get past 5 bladed leaves untill 1 1/2 months later, still grew planty big, just not as fat or bushy

nah, i checked it today, same as last pics, leaves are maybe a tad bigger. but the im getting no sunlight here. nuthin but rain and clouds for the past 3 days. and temps are steadily dropping, its regularly below 65 now. kinda sucks. im thinking about bringing it inside if i can.

Windowsill the thing, or perhaps if the sun is in the sky at an angle put some tin foil or a mirror bewhind it to get extra sun when it is sunny. I kept mine inside under a flouro tube untill they were about 5 inches tall then relocated. im in the oppisite climate to u though
