So it's been a year since i posted and I am finally approaching my first grow.... I have read, and researched until i was blue in the face ( that also coulda been the bud i was smoking but bygones) The only thing that is holding me back are the nutes.

I'm growing in soil... got some bat guano and some worm casting. Is it better to use these as a tea or actually mixed in the soil

Secondly I feel like I'm going to over do it if i get the foxfarm big bloom, tiger bloom, grow big... etc or like products

Are all of these really necessary???

A little info on my project
-3' x 5' grow space with a separate 20''x 11'' seedling box (small and simple)
-soil medium
-seedling under a 150 watt mhs light
-flowering box has a 400 watt hps light
-starting off with some feminized blueberry seeds (only thing i didnt read up on b4 purchasing; come to find out it's a pretty hard grow but again bygones)

I'm pretty sure im going to fuck up along the way so any and all advice is welcomed. happy smoking my friends bongsmilie

Use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Bloom and you won't have anything to worry about. Those are the only things I use, although I've thought about trying Calmag.

Just don't over water or over fertilize and you'll be fine.

Since you are doing soil are you going to use the 3 different pot sizes to transplant as you go ? A couple threads have discussed it on here the past few days. It has my vote.

i just tried the tea for the first time, before that i was just adding guano to the soil and watering every other day. keep us informed of your grow i'm sure those much more knowledgeable than I will be able to help you out

yea i'm thinkin i'll prolly transplant it 2x's once in the seedling box and then the final transplant into the actual grow room. I'm pre-mixing my soil ahead of time...

seeds are gonna start off in soil that is going to have a worm castings (10-20% worm casting 80-90% soil)

Going to use the bat guano for the growing and flowering stages... not sure if im going to mix it into the soil or make a tea. it says it is best used as a fertilizer but i haven't found any info on the measurements of amounts needed.

tea or fertilizer..... what do you think???

Sounds like you have a plan but when it comes to soil I just use ProMix all the way thru and don't have to mess with mixing this and that. I try to keep things as simple as I can and that works for me. I'm not saying your approach is wrong or won't work, I'm just letting you know how I do it.

thanx... im gettin a little confused with all the different mixes and ammendments that can b added

so if i just used promix, or foxfarm do i even need the bat guano and worm castings???? i've been told that bat guano is the shit.. lol... but i like to keep things as simple as possible too. could i just use the guano & castings as tea??? basically water the plants with it.... yea or nah???

If you use PRO MIX you do not need to add anything else.

Put it in the Pot and Grow. Keep it simple.

After a month I will water with some Botanicare Pure Blend Pro - Grow, about a half a cap to a gallon of water. When flowering you will switch to Botanicare Pure Blend Pro - Bloom same measurement.

You will add nothing to the soil. You will only add more soil as you change pots, if you just plan on starting with just one big pot you won't even need to add soil.

That is all you do the whole grow. Pretty simple isn't it ?

If you have more questions just ask.
