The mentality that you expressed in this response is exactly the kind if mentality the author was talking about when he said that the U.S. government's commitment to Israel brings worldwide scorn and condemnation for the United States. There's millions of people all around the world who share your mentality. This is what the author was talking about.

I think youre the only one who mentioned Jews...I read "Israel" and "Zionist" but no reference to Jews...classic anti-Semetism card play. It's a pity so many people automatically account Israel with Jew, they're not necessarily always the same thing.

yeah, when i think of israel, i think of mainly hindus and pastafarians. jews are a distant 6th place, behind jehovah's witnesses, mormons, and hare krishnas.

So by your logic the words "Jew" and "Israel" are interchangeable? How exactly does commenting on Israel make you anti-Semetic? It's nothing to do with their religion, it's the countries policies everyone has a problem with. If (in theory) I comment negatively on something America does am I being anti-Christian? No I'm not, cos religion has nothing to do with it.

If anyone tries to discuss the outrageous political or financial ramifications of the U.S. government's lapdog commitment to Israel, the pro-Jewish lunatic fringe will brand you as a bigot or a terrorist. In other words, you can't question the $2 trillion soaking the American public has taken because of their gov't's assine, bankrupting commitment to Israel.
