So my GF has a blackberry bush that has grown in tandem with a rose bush.
We love the berries, hate the roses. Does anyone have a suggestion that I can use to kill the rose without harming the blackberry?

TIA

by hand get thick gloves, as a kid i use to pick blackberries, i believe for rose bushes you have to get them at the bulbs to get rid of them and those are in the ground

Not really, selective weed killers normally target either monocots (grasses) or dichots (most other plants), unfortunately both roses and blackberries are dichots. I would cut the rose bush off at the base, then when you prune back the blackberry in the fall/winter remove the rose.
