Isle of Man TT road race.

This is insanity to the nth degree.
I wonder how many racers are handed the ultimate "Defeat" on this course.
Suddenly I don't feel quite as crazy as I thought I was.

yeah, those dudes are completely nuts imo.. i would love it though... i'm pretty sure there is no speed limit on the entire isle for cars year round..

i'd love to go and watch the race though..

now i remember why i don't have a bike.. i like to go too fast, i'd be dead in a week, no doubt about it..

I looked into a Hayabusa last year - a new one is well within my "toy" price range but then I started looking on E-bay @ 300 rear tires, custom stretched swing arms, power commanders. The list goes on & I decided I was just drooling over a soon to be pile of chrome scrap that would be laying beside the road somewhere (with pieces of me in the vicinity).
Nope, I simply can't be trusted with something like that.
So I got this for me instead.



It's not fast (or at least I don't drive it like that), but the damn thing will climb trees.

I had a Suzuki dirt bike as a teen for a couple of years, but never went fast or raced. OT was more my style - not as popular in America though. I almost bought a bike after I got married. Bought a house instead. Not really sure life would have been better if I got the bike (Beta Alp) instead. In case your are not familiar with the sport, it is quite simple. The object is to progress through each section cleanly - no feet down.

p.s. That's just some guy I found - it shows off the style and isn't an actual competition. You can still get hurt, but... well, I've seen crashes at TT speeds and it ain't pretty!

Isle of Mann is the greatest street motorcycle race on earth, that I know of. Definitely going to ship my bike out there someday and ride around the island for a week.
