is this true?

I've read on a couple places that if you water your plants with room temp water or warm water it will shock your plants for about 1 day. One buddy said it was it his book. Said something like in nature, rain is always cooler than ground and air temps. It usually cools the surface up. If your roots feel warm water it shocks them. Has anyone heard this or know anything about it?

Can't call myth on this one I did the experiments detailed in my Goin Loco journal and not only did I experiment with temps but ph as well and I discovered that if the water was the ph of rain 5.6 to 5.8 and was cold the plant transpired 3 times faster than if the water was room temp with a higher ph

I also did an experiment starting with warm water and gradually making it colder as I watered and this slowed transporation WAY down

The difference was from 5 to 7 days watering with room temp water and as fast as 1 and 1/2 days if it was cold, did it several times so have to say your friend is right, no myth about it

I've read that on certain high percentage sativa plants adding warm water is actually better for their growth process because their natural climates are hot and often have warm showers in the summer

That makes sense, my plant at the time of my experiments was an indica dom cross

I always figured it was the increased oxygen content in colder water that gave the roots a bit of a boost.

Riddleme,

You are full of shit - do you just make things up so you can post?

Yeah I like to take the time to do these experiments just so I can post and I spent 3 weeks doing it cause it was cool to come here and type the info into my grow journal so others would see it

experiment was real and results were real happened every time either way

sorry you feel that way, have you done any experiments like this to actually see what happens?

PS and thank you, you are the first person to say that to me :clap::clap:

i dont think your full of shit lol youve replied to my post's with very helpfull info since i started growing 6 months ago with zero knowledge. lol the amount ive learned is incredible. anyway ... thanks everyone for the help ur awsome. i use britta filter water and the ph reads 6 (drop test not digital). il start slightly cooling my water and see what kind of effect this will have
