Is this Rhino Carbon filter kit good?

  • So I've been hearing positive things about rhino and I found a kit which I'm thinking of buying

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rhino-Pro-...item27cc8e6fe3

Does anyone know if this will be LOUD and cause a lot of noise?
Can someone compare it to something so I can get a rough estimate of what sound volumes to expect.

    Thanks

That setup is reasonble quiet, it depends were how/where your setup is ie: tent/cab/loft/spare room/shed/bacement etc..... imo its always possible to go the extra mile and make things even quieter, ie/ Silencers, Fan Boxes, insulated ducting etc etc... I run an 8" RHINO SETUP.. and its very similar to the 5" one pictured above (just bigger) and thats about as loud as if you cup your hands and blow a medium exhale with your mouth into your cupped hands...thats the closest I can compare it to noise wise lol..

So I imagine a 5" version would be even quiter, hope that helps :) - ZTELTHY :leaf:

Thanks for the info, is the fan the same one as yours?
Ive seen a few listings of the same kit but this has specified rvk a1.. do all of them have this fan?

The RVK in question will be the matching 5" version for the filter kit.

Specifically it will be an RVK125E2-A1 rated if I remember at around 300m3h.

If you get a 6" kit it would have the

RVK150E2-A1 fan. 480m3h

The 8" version would be
RVK200E2-A1 around 760m3h.

With each larger version comes more air movement and more noise.

This is how I have my setup:- 6" Super Sun 2 reflector > 6" to 8" reducer > 8" Systemair In-Line Fan > 8" RHINO Filter

The fan moves approx 800m3h - ZTELTHY :leaf:
