Is this quote right?

They say "pump"not air stones.
They also don't back they're claim with evidence, yet THOUSANDS continue to do it with success.

No prob !
Try to get black or blue hoses to help block light.
PetSmart has very pliable silicon hoses in black and sold in 8ft packs.

pretty sure they just meant that instruction for use with the given specific product line....no?

one could always try it both ways too though just to be sure....

EDIT:
wait...what?
airstones don't do anything without a pump...

i've never seen an oxygen pump for dwc either...wth is that?

My set-up is a combo Top-Drip("WaterFarm" style) with an airstone added.
So it's technically an Top-Drip/DWC(bubbleponic)
I'm using a dual outlet air pump, and a 5 gallon bucket.
The airstone is putting-out alot of bubbles, but the Top-Drip doesn't seem to be putting-out
much water. Is it supposed to put-out a constant flow of water?
Mine seems to be sporadically drip out from random holes,
rather than a consistent flow from all the holes.
Do I need a stronger airpump?
Thanx all for Your answers and help!

If it's running a top drip fed by an airstone (that's how waterfarm does it, right?), I can see a possibility of a slow sporadic drip. The only water getting into the drip ring is from condensing bubbles. Water flows into the tube and the air stone agitates it, so it bubbles, the bubbles rise and pop leaving that little amount of residual water in the drip ring. A stronger air pump would make more bubbles so you'd get more water. I'm not familiar with using the WaterFarms but that's the general principle behind it.

Ok, so then the answer is yes, I DO most-likely need a stronger air-pump.
Ok! Thanx!
