is it possible to have a plant that is 21 days old (from seed)
run in the same 1 gallon res as 2-3 seedlings that are just about to sprout?

i am aware the diffrent ages require diffrent amounts of nutes (diff. ppm levels) so would i be able to just keep the whole res at a suitable ppm for my seedlings or would the giant root system of my 3 week old screw everything up? or whats the deal!?

Hey WHITEBOMB,

Yes you can reduce the ppms so they uit your seedlings.. this will dramatically slow down the growth of your older plant... It will not kill it... many people keep their mother plants at 200-400 ppms....

keep us posted...

cheers

BTW - you should consider cloning your larger plant now while you are waiting for the seedlings to get bigger.... :)

and NOW you KNOWM

this is exciting news! i don't mind slowing the growth of my big plant (really only 21 days old and not THAT big) but i want to focus more on the seedlings... i guess i'll just keep the ppms according to the schedule of my babies, i was just afraid that the big root system of my already existing plant would steal the little nutes i feed them.

anyways
THANKS KNOWM :]
