On the top bud of the centre plant
an off white, sticky/powdery looking substance.

This photo is the best I can manage.

Really need a better quality picture in better light.

If you have a flouro fixture with veg lights 6400k spectrum then this will give a better picture for us to see better. Just knock off your hps for 10mins while you use the flouro's to take a better pic.

Crack your bud a bit too and look for botrytis.

Ive never seen PM start like that on the tips. Somethings up.

Please try to get in clean light and snap us an in focus closeup. You got me stewing here. :neutral:
 
Agreed that it doesn't look like botrytis but somethings toasted that tip and I want to eliminate any possible causes.

What the OP describes and the image hints at is unlike anything I can recall with my pothead memory. Gonna dig through my notes. :roll:
