Bought some beans from Dr. Chronic.....Lowryder2. Got two females up in a bubbler. I want to make sure this is lowryder. I didn't think these plants would grow out like this. Both are 30 days old and have literally spread out through the entire cabinet. Friend of mine grew supposedly the same strain a few months ago in soil but they did not look like this. They pretty much grew straight up (one big bud). These are spreading out like wildfire....I have the lights on 18/6. Have not pruned at all as he didn't either. I've been experimenting with Hydroponics for over a year now but this is the first start to finish grow in hydroponics. Is this normal for hydroponics and more importantly, this strain?. The growth is outragious compared to my friends soil grow from the same strain. Help! comments welcome....

you should be fine man, dont sweat it. The biggest thing you gotta remember is that with hydro, your gonna get bushier plants.. a hydro system takes away a growth medium.. obviously. Now, when a plant is trying to grow bigger, it expends a lot of energy trying to have the root tips grow out to find water and nutrients in the soil.. now since there is no growth medium and the roots should be constantly moist and have all the water they want at their disposal, that extra energy has to go somewhere, so it just produces more foliage and buds. Also, a lowryder plant gets maybe around 2 foot ideally, and because its so height restricted, the plant is just going to produce foliage and get bushy as hell, its not a big deal. As far as the differences between you and your homeboys bud, dont sweat it, your both growing different methods, and now your experimenting with lowryder in two different grow situations. Test eachothers bud, both put in a concensus and figure out which way is more efficient to grow low ryder bud, and post it here and let us know

Thanks, my buddy and I have been scratching our heads for a couple of days now in the difference between soil and hyro. Anxious to see how the buds turn out.....Got another grow going in a cabinet right beside the LR2 on 12/12. I hope to get a system going soon so I can stop buying it and producing for myself.....

yeah, sounds like you and your homeboy got a good op goin on. Any more questions or concerns just ask, id be more than willing to give you my two cents. just make sure that if your using a hydro station, when its on dark cycle.. make sure its DARK, if you get any sunlight or anything in the water your going to produce algae and its just a pain in the ass, it will make your bud taste different, and in itself it just smells like ass crack and ball sack..

I keep the reservoir inspected on a daily basis. The first sign of algae and its cleaning time. I wrapped the entire tub with duct tape a couple of times as well as the lid. Not sure if it works or makes a difference but I applied flat white duct tape on the top to reflect light. I'm pretty proud of the setup as well as the results thus far. Thanks for the input....
