Ok, get this one. Very strange.
1st off, I am a newbie - but I can read, so I am not utterly clueless. (maybe 2/3 tho)
Anyway, please tell me if this makes ANY sense?
- growing indoors on an 18 hr daylight cycle
- all my plants were seeds only 2 months ago, except for this one I'm asking about which was a seed only 6 wks ago & now is 1 ft tall
- I noticed 3/4 days ago what looked like seed pods on it. I thought it was strange looking but put it out of my mind (thinking 'I'm a newbie, what do I know?' and also 'way, waaay too early to be showing it;s sex, especially in an 18 hr cycle)
- So today this plant has obviously dropped what looks like pollen, it's powdery, white, and very different from anything else in the room
So, this prompts two questions:
1. How the hell can a 6wk plant in 18 hr days drop pollen?
2. If the rest of my plants are only 2 months old and have been exposed to pollen, will that cause them to produce seed? <fingers crossed here>
For question 1 - I am completely baffled
Question 2 - I am thinking and HOPING that the plants being so immature it will not matter if they were pollinated.
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks, and Happy Cinco de Mayo
