a $5 "100W replacement" led screw in bulb from walmart or home depot is at least as good for clones
This is stronger than the 13 watter I'm using now which isn't working, so you think this would work as well as that silly bendy light in the top picture? (I'm actually out of twistys and could use the four pack, It's 2700K) thanks for your input

For clones you don't want 2700K. 5000K LED bub will work fine or better yet a 23w, 6400K CFL bulb.

I mostly just root my cuttings with them off to the side of my veg garden if I have one going or in the bedroom closet under 1 CFL, You do not want strong light on them before they have roots or they will continue trying to grow leaves and never set roots. Even with just a 23w cfl I'll put a paper towel over the dome to cut back the light intensity and that works well.

I usually just root them in my veg tent under mh, but I've got no room so I'm setting up temporarily in my drying chamber, I thought the 2700k was red which was what I thought I wanted to promote roots?

Edit: so this..?

Get a white led bulb. Stop using CFLs
Too late, bought the CFL. Plus I bought one last week, screwed it in and it broke apart in my hand? CFLs will do fine, I use one all the time for seedlings but the 13 watt/2700k bulb I have didn't pull the roots out of the cuttings20190109_185448.jpg

BTW, 2700K works just fine. I wrote elsewhere that it's a bit of a cannabis myth that bluer/cooler light vegs and clones better than redder/warm light. Try it and see.
Thanks for the input I've used a 13 watt 27k bulb with success for seedlings but it's not working on these cuttings, so time to try something else
