Is this a termite?

live in south Florida, temps in my 4x8 are pretty good. Lights off, 77 and 55%RH. Good air circulation. Might’ve found a carpenter termite. Any solutions or things to look for? Also found a leaf (on a separate plant)with a hole. That leaf has been like that for a week. No more have arisen on the the leaf.

Termite or carpenter ant, I don't think they would damage your grow without a full blown infestation.

Any regiments I could do to prevent an outbreak?

Just kill it or get them out, those aren't going to attack your plants unless it has nowhere to go or feed.

I honestly was trying to get photos of it and by the time I got the right one it crawled back up the bottom of the cup. How would I magically get them out?

Bag the cup when your ready to water and drown it.

Like rubberband a ziplock to the bottom tightly? So no drain pretty much...
