Is this a hermie?

I bought 10 feminized pre-98 Bubba Kush from Cali Connection. Running 5 other strains from regular seeds. All 10 hermied. Not one other plant even popped nanners. Sometimes it’s not on you.
So there's a massive chance these could all turn hermie on me and it would all be for nothing? I've spent nearly £1000 on electric and about £2000 on my setup. :( If they all turn hermie on me I am never buying from in house genetics again. I guess my only other choice is to sit there picking off every single male pollen sack??

I’ve found a lot of new stuff in general is herm prone. Broke down and picked up some optic foliar switch it’s got some kind of plant hormone blocker that prevents herms (also dialed in my room better) hopefully between the two I can get some seedless crops in

If I were basing an answer on that case I’d say yes. I’m not experienced with In House. But I’ll never buy Cali Connection anything.

Yeah I'm never going to buy in house genetics again if they all turn hermie on me. 1 hermie is fine but if the rest start turning on me it is game over. It means I will have to spend the next 3 months saving up £200 to buy some Capulator East side MAC regular seeds

Just transplanted 4 IBL Durban X MAC. Both parents killer bud. Durban tested at 20% for a legal retail in Fairbanks and that’s pretty decent for a landrace. I got the MAC as a cutting. It’s been maintained here since before 2016. Got it from one of the keepers. Did him some favors and he surprised me with cuttings of his Blackwater he’s famous for, MAC he’s equally famous for and this Banana Punch that is absolutely incredible. All 3 are fire even loaded with the seeds. Blackwater will put you on the couch. Even for me with my tolerance. A few puffs on a fatty and it’s lights out. Got test plants of all I’m just setting outside. All crossed with my IBL Durban.

Unfortunately, there's a good chance that almost ANY strain you grow is going to present this tendency. The strains now are so complex and the lineage is so deep and convoluted with hybrids crossed with hybrids crossed with hybrids. The more "stuff" that's in there, the more chance that gene is going to appear. I just grew some seeds from a highly reputable seller (Archive) and the strain was Chemdozer and the "Chem" is from "Chemdog" -that was a strain made from a bag seed back in the day....and every hybrid that uses Chemdog has a good chance of showing some balls at some point. Why? Because those Chemdog seeds were likely the result of the original flower pollinating itself. So, now, the gene is in there and subsequent hybrids that use it, will potentially carry on that gene.
Have you ever grown the Chem strains? I've grown Chem 91. It never grew balls, but was prone to growing nanners.

It looks like the mother fuckers over at in house genetics don't care about there customers anymore. I spent £200 on pack of 10 seeds and they are all hermie prone. I knew I should of gone for the Platinum kush breath remix again, instead of these hermie looking mother fuckers. Those plants were all top shelf quality buds and I didn't find any hermies whatsoever. Sorry to rant on I'm just pissed off that they never tested the line before releasing it. They know there is a problem, they just won't admit it. And 95% of there genetics have been removed from Attitude seed bank. They only have 4 different strains for sale. It's Bad news all around https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/in-house-genetics/cat_238
Been there and it's not fun. Very deflating. All that time and energy. It's enough to piss-off the Pope. It's the old " denial , anger and acceptance " deal. You know how it is , something has to be f'ing-up . All my grows make me a little nervous. Crack on stoner dude !

I've grown a bag seed from a commercial batch of GG#4....which has all kinds of Chem strains in it...and then this last run was the Chemdozer -which is Chem91 X Planet Purple F2...and it showed both balls in early flower which I picked off....and then everything was cool...until when I was trimming, I noticed 5 or 6 open and dried flowers...I also found one underdeveloped seed. I asked around and people explained the story of the original Chemdog strain and said to be aware that that line tended to show intersex traits....which, now, in my own experience, has also been the case. I'm not complaining about it. The end results were pretty great, overall...just reporting. And there was no stress induced. It was almost an ideal run this time...no bugs, no temp problems...no humidity problems...no fert. problems...no water problems...used a great light....completely blacked out room....hospital-like sterile conditions...Wasn't me. It was the plant. I suppose it could have been the Planet Purple F2 father of this strain, too...but when I asked, people told me it was likely the Chem lineage.

I grew the clone only version a handful of times. Never had any balls on any plants. Just nanners a few times towards the end. I have super low RH, so I was guessing that didn't help either. I've had a few plants that throw nanners. Sunset Sherbert liked to throw nanners too. It's got GSC in it, so that makes sense.

What ever happened with them bro? On the same page, first grow, first set of seeds and they seem to all be herming eventhough they were “feminized” only possibly missed a watering or two. Just confused where it went wrong!

All of the above with any long acting sativa . Plants herm that balls up in pre-flower and its are best plant . We keep it . I do The chem . durban ,afrrican lines hermie as a normal trait in pre-flower . I let it fully bud . So many plants pre-hermie and then normal . So what feminized seeds have the same trait as parent . Nanners include female plants . Balls on main plant . We know the deal . Also are you sexing right ? Let the plant grow with the proven females . see whats what . After that your female is a male . Nothing perfect

Sorry to clarify myself without pick a hanging nanner . I will let go . But a tight ball with no hairs coming out anywhere . I do kill very early , not to play out . Everyone confused about nanners but females nanner looks roundish at the maturity window . Its going to go one way or the other . With that i've hermied on one grow . To this day I still don't know what happened . But i had a few seeds. I'm with you bro .

The thread is 3 month old . I feel idiotic for response to no one . If administrator has time close such thread . Its a waist of time to respond . Given this is volunteer stuff. This is good forum .I think its better to let it go over time . Idiots like me respond after someone . So riu should create library over time . If someone responds that already posted bring it back . Otherwise archives ?
