is this a good light for setup

This is my first grow so tell me what u think I am making a grow box which is 2ft tall
2ft wide and 1 1/2ft deep.I was planing on putting this light in it, would this be a good setup.

Only one in that space. Your problem with your space is its height. If its only 2 foot high the light will take maybe 5 - 6 inches of that + you have to have a gap between bulb and plants 4 inches maybe (with good cooling, remember HPS lights get hot) so you already loose about 10 inches from your 24. How big is the pot 5-6 inches? Only leaves you with about 8 inches height to grow in.

You will need to LST (low stress training) the plant to get a descent yeild in that space.

If you use that light in a bigger space you could probably get 3 plants under it and grow them 4 or 5 foot high.

Better have some ventilation or it will be a easy bake oven.

With space so tight you could maybe try growing some lowryder's plants in there, but even them will grow to about 10-16 inches high but you might get 4 or more of them in there if you can get the height clearance. A mini sea of green.

i just finished the box and im about to install the fan i will post pics. up soon so you guys can see what i got. Ithink ill be able to fit at least 2 plants but not sure.thanks for the help.

ya im guna seal everything tomarrow and put tin foil inside.

Not advised to use tin foil as it can create hot spots. Mylar sheeting is preferable, if you cant get mylar I would just white wash the inside.

The box is ready all i need now is the light and seed =) Anybody have any idea on what plant i should get for this size and i realy want a plant that puts out as less oder as possible. thanks
