is this a good grow tent? what size light would be best?

I am a huge fan of Secret Jardin tents. The bigger models have ports specifically for cooling your reflector in addition to your standard intake/exhaust ports. And I would just go with 1 1000w light, but it depends on your temperatures really.
 
1 1000w would have ample coverage if you keep your plants clustered close together, but you would have better coverage for your inner foliage and lower leaves if you had 2 600s and spaced your plants out a bit more. $171 with free shipping is pretty hard to beat for a tent that size from what I remember, but I havent used a prefab tent in years I'm more of a DIYer now.
 
the secret jardins look nice, but for a tent the same size as posted would be a ton more from what i see, this is my first grow so im trying to keep the cost down and add after first harvest.

4 600w lamps in a 6.5x6.5 area is the definition of the word overkill. You can cover a 5x5 with a single 1000w and if you place 2 600w lamps properly it'll be more than enough. If the tent was like 8x8 you could justify 4 lights.
 
i dont think its over kill we can argue all day on what a 600 will cover ive used both and in my experence a 600 will cover a 3 x 3.5 area pretty good although i added cfls and i very soon got tired of that so i got 2 1000 watts and a 4x8 just my opinion
 
I have 2 600's in a 4'x4'x6.5' tent with no heat issues. Air cooled hoods, inline exhaust and fan speed controller get me any where I want to be within 60-85f.
 
I would say 3 600's will rock in there bro. But if you can squeeze in 4 the go for it.. Most people said I would never get my 2 600's in my tent without mars like temps but I made it work. I would go with 3 600's about 2 ft apart each. That setup will smoke 2 1000's.
 
in my opinion 4 x 600 will smoke 2 x 1000 witch is what i suggested for his 6.5 x 6.5 not 3 x 6 i have ran 3 x 600 watts in my tent i get more light penetration and bigger buds with 1000 watters.. not to mention the savings on the start up cost

Lol. I said 3-600w because he is comparing to 2-1000w . Therefor less watts used and more lumens per watt.. It's obvious 4-600w is better than 3-600w and that's also why I said if he can squeeze em in to go for it. But to compare 4-600w to 2-1000w is pointless because there is really no contest there.
