then honey thats what the problem is your plant is experiencing a nutrient deficiency of some type and it is screaming at you to help it

Yep... I agree. According to Jorge Cervantes "Grower's Bible" (I love this book) a Phosphorus defieciency:
"Stunted and very slow-growth plants. Dark bluish-green leaves, often with dark blotches....."
It says to treat by lowering the pH to 5.5 - 6.2 for Hydro or 6 to 7 for clay soils or 5.5 to 6.5 for potting soils so phosphorus will become available.

Well.... according to the book... if you are growing in soil you can use:
Bat guano (poop), steamed bone meal or barnyard manure
Got any of that stuff around the house????
