Is This a Fire Hazard?

Well i wanna grow some good bud.... But not burn my house down in the process, is this a fire hazard?

Doesn't appear to be on the light side, but it depends on how they are wired into the wall, more than the lights.
Worse thing you can do with extra lights is blow a fuse. Bad wiring causes fires.

I just have them hooked up to extension cords that lead to my timer, is that bad? lol
 
Make sure the bulbs do not bump or touch each other. Also, make sure the sockets can handle the amp/watt load

The bulbs are touching each other :(..... The lamps with reflectors came with clamp things, maybe i can try and put them on the sides.
 
feel the cords that you have plugged in at both ends. If the cord is overly warm then you might need a cord with more electrical capacity.

I'll have to get back to you on that 1, i don't have them on i just turned them on so i can check it. I just set the closet up waiting for my seeds.

Drop one on the carpet and see what happens. They are pretty fragile and full of bad shit. Your reflectors may be fine, but you need to check what the socket is rated for. If it is only 100w and you have 6 23w bulbs in it ...could be a problem. I would also make sure your timer is rated for all of this. Most of the grounded ones are.

I made sure when buying the lamps that it could handle 4 bulbs, i believe the limit on these were like 175 or something like that. When i bought my timer, i bought a very pricey 1 to ensure i don't burst into flames lol, it's a power strip timer that cost 40$.
 
Right on. Just make sure you have them arranged properly to where they don't touch and you should be ok. With that many CFLs I would have little fans blowing between the bulbs and plant tops and overkill the exhaust to get rid of the heat. You want to keep those CFLs about 2-3 in off the plants so they don't stretch.

I actually don't have an exhaust fan :(.... I have 1 little fan that blows up into the lights and 1 some what big fan that blows on the plants.

as long as your temps are good it should be ok, just keep an eye on humidity temps etc etc, you should get a little thermometer and check out the temps right below the fans with the lights on..

and in reference to it being a fire hazard, i think it's a somewhat clean setup- as long as your within your wattage you should be golden- plants should love it..
