Well it's a no name ballast, so it's probably not warrantied.
But I bought my first light in a package like this, and it still runs just fine 4 years later.

Consider buying this and after a harvest or two, upgrading to a nicer ballast.
Hydrofarm Phantoms and Quantum digital ballasts are really nice.
They are dimmable, quiet, and barely put out any heat. (the bulbs still put out heat, but the ballasts are cool.)

Exactually what CLOWN said but go with Quatum ballast IMO..Its what i have 600w and its great u can do seedlings at 300w then 450 then to 600 for flowering it works awsome but if ur tight on cash u can get a whole.....go to CHEAP HYDROPONICS AND GET A QUANTUM BALLAS SETUP WITH REFLECTOR AND BULB FOR 195 PLUS SHIPPING I THINK...But look around u can find a place with a quatum ballast set-up for around 2 bills which ur gonna spend on that no=name brand...But it will be a 400w quatum but its worth it and it will be fine for 6 plants..only need about 50w per plant...
