Is there a more efficient way to use Azamax?

I have root aphids so I went to my local hydro store for a solution. They told me I should use Azamax and dump an entire $70 bottle into my reservoir. That seems like a huge waste to me, so I'm wondering if you guys know of a more effecient way to use it. I was thinking I'd just fill a bucket with a couple gallons of water, add the Azamax, and then dip each of my pots (filled with hydroton) in the bucket. Would this work just as well?

fuk that guy. u can water with it in soil dont know about hydro. about 1 tbs per gal. look on the little white paper that came on the inside..... it may only be 2tsp per gal. u can also spray with azamax. i would prob sugest that for you, seems to be less expensive. water it every 2,3 weeks and bugs should be a thing of the past

I ended up just dipping them into a bucket to thoroughly soak the roots and it seems to have worked. I haven't seen a living one in awhile and the plants are doing fine.
